Computer Information Science Program

About Us

The mission of our program is to prepare our students for a wide range of careers as computer scientists, software engineers, software developers, and related positions in the field of computing. Our curriculum covers fundamental programming techniques and skills, programming languages, mathematical foundations of computing, and advanced topics in software design and application development. This curriculum provides students with the skills needed to design, develop, evaluate and analyze software solutions to a wide spectrum of computational problems and prepares them to be leaders in the rapidly changing field of computing throughout their careers. This program is intended to produce computer science and information technology professionals and not merely technicians with some training in computer programming.

Information Technology Infrastructure / Cybersecurity Program

About Us

The mission of the Information Technology Infrastructure/Cybersecurity programs at Ozarks Technical Community College is to provide its students with relevant, timely, and functional education to maximize options in employability, professional growth, and career success in IT-related fields. Typical entry-level positions may include; computer repair, systems administration, communications media installation, customer support, cybersecurity specialist, and many other IT related roles. The department's advisory committee guides development of curriculum and competencies that ensure the Networking program's ongoing relevance and value to graduates and employers.
